I was impressed by his writing style and excellent use of literary prose. The plot was very unique and the action, while not terribly thrilling was captivating. Lang is interesting and makes a good protagonist. The character development t is not too deep but the plot really doesn't require too much detail.. It s an easy read and did not have all the fluff some.other authors are beginning to use., like references to status symbols designer clothes hornet food refernces- honestly, who cares! good job Loomis!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Good Installment....ButBy Gary L. RichardsonI have been reading all of the Lang Reilly books in order. I have enjoyed all including this one....but this one seemed a little thinner than its predecessors. The previous works had a little more meat in the story and the thrills were a little better. It is almost like the author got a little bored. The story is still good to be sure.....but I would not use the word "great" like I would with the others......don't let it put you off though....0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Bit of Editing Would Improve a Good BookBy Charles R. DooleyWhile I like the general story lines of Mr. Loomis' books, I find he spends far too much time explaining the story lead's, Lang and Gurt, background. As the Lang and Gurt books are a collection, perhaps that would be better covered in a prologue. I enjoy Gurt's struggle with American idiom and appreciate the implied rather than explicit sex.
