His ability to weave fiction and non-fiction together to create an outstanding story is exceptional. At the end of each book he goes over the fiction and non-fiction items to provide the reader with a better understanding of history. For me I had difficulty putting this book down. I highly recommend this book. A very enjoyable read.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I really loved this bookBy M. MorrisI really loved this book. I listened to it on audio from Audible. I must have bought the Kindle version to lower the price of the Audible book. I tweeted to David Morrell and told him how much I liked this book, and he replied saying it was his most difficult work. It was worth it; this book keeps you glued to it.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great Read!By HogheadThis one by Morrell and also The Last Revielle should have been movies. First Blood got changed and modified into some kind of mongoloid story about an ex-army type who could not be beaten by anyone human. The original First Blood had Rambo dying at the end----a good death , and well-done at that----not like the movie and each one after in which he was unbelievably invincible. Read Morrell- he is one of the best authors at researching his subject matter and presenting in a form that is very believable and making the reader understand the faults in the characters. Read, Read, READ!
