The investigation is unusual because of the speed and high temperature of the fire. Two additional factors fill out the story = a young boy in an abusive situation who gets swept up into the fire starters web and the protagonist's wife whom he thinks might be stepping out on him again.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. TerrificBy rosemary s. andersonI saw this movie when I was 10 years old and was so moved by the struggles of Sister Luke. Having had nuns for 12 years growing up, I began to see them more as humans rather than just as teachers in authoritarian dress. When I was about 15, my Aunt gave me a copy of the book. The movie was faithful to the book, and its story is the real story of anyone who thinks that they have chosen a profession for all the right reasons, only to be challenged to the very core.
