WrightMichener, who frequented the library at the University of Miami where I went to law school, I never met. However, I ran into his great book on Afghanistan just now. Although set right after the last war ever won by the USA, it is prophetic of what has happened following our invasion. The Soviets were bright to leave. Maybe the US will learn its lesson and leave. Michener is famous for his attention to detail and this is no disappointment.
