I LOVE mystery, but the twist of a contest with a cash prize makes JJ McKeever's work a masterpiece! There are clues throughout the book that can lead you to Harry Strickland's stashed loot, if you are correct (and we have a year to research this info) we can try our hand at winning our own chunk of change! Looking forward to the challenge and hoping their are sequels on the horizon. Halfway through it already and loving every page and clue. Summertime/Anytime reading at its best.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. What a great story. It has only been work that kept ...By David S. WarnerWhat a great story. It has only been work that kept me from reading it straight through. It was fun to see, feel, and sense the characters developing as the story progresses. Harry is a fun character to get to know. And it was fun to discover characters named after people I know...including me. When I started reading I was thinking...keep track of clues to where the money is...I stopped doing that about a third of the way through - it didn't matter anymore - I wanted to see how the characters handled their next situation.Harry Strickland fits right in with many of the series of books I have read or continue to read...MacDonald's Travis McGee...Child's Jack Reacher...Connelly's Harry Bosch. Great job Jim McKeever creating a character that will stand the test of time...even if I never figure out where the money and jewels are hiding.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
