About the AuthorAaron W. Kemp, M.D., practiced general surgery for 32 years in Washington before moving to Arizona in 2000. He has a B.S. in zoology from Washington State University, an M.D. from the University of Washington, and is proud to be a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. To pay for his schooling, he worked as a commercial fisherman, dog trainer, cowboy and cook. Dr. Kemp now practices part-time as a general practitioner and has returned to his first love, writing, feeling that short novels are a neglected literary endeavor today. His first book, Sweetwater Tales, was published in May of 2004. Someday is Today is his second, and a third is in production. Dr. Kemp is active in community theater in the Phoenix area. He is an Arizona critic and has been seen on national TV in Arrest and Trial as well as in commercials and local station presentations. He is an avid reader with interests in history and natural sciences. His hobbies include horse activities, fishing and hunting. He attempted flying for sport, but quit after crashing four times. Dr. Kemp and his wife, Shirlene Joy Kemp, live in Scottsdale.
